Have I told you all how much I love this thing that some people might call work? What a privilege it was to host Alex and Gareth at the Greater Whitsunday Farmers Markets this week. These guys were so down to earth and their love of food just radiates through everything that they do. We asked them loads of questions and got some inside goss on what really happens on reality TV shows but most of all, we got to eat the amazing food they created using the local produce at the Greater Whitsunday Farmers Markets.

Since the show has wrapped up, the boys have kept busy doing various cooking demonstrations up and down the coast and they let us in on their plans for the future and it all sounds pretty epic! Their dream is to get their own TV show where they travel the country in a bus, with a TV crew and cook up a storm in places that will blow your mind e.g. on top of a mountain, skydiving onto an island to cook and the list goes on! Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it. To do this, they are in need of a sponsor so if you know anyone, let us know and we can put you in contact with the boys!

Alex and Gareth love coming back to Mackay as their families are here and it’s a great excuse to head home for some of Mum’s cooking, says Alex. Even though he admits that she might be the one expecting the meal to be cooked for her now. You can follow the boys and their adventures on their Instagram pages, Alex and Gareth.
